About
I am lucky. I have three great kids and a wife who is the best thing that ever happened to me. Our extended family is fun and supportive and we have great parents.
I am unemployed. I used to think I was going to be a Math professor. I ended up spending years as a computer programmer. Now I am just being a dad. I still like Math. I actually like it more now that I have no plans to make a living from it.
So now, I am a homeschooling parent living in a Texas suburb, driving a minivan, and going to church every Sunday. Pretty conservative, huh? Now that you’ve got me pegged, have fun reading!
These are my kids, Gunnar (5), Soren (4), and Niels (1):

I knew you would do great things!

Hi Valerie,
Good to hear from you! I don’t know if I’m doing great things, but at least I’m doing fun things. I hope you’re doing well.

Rolfe,
I am Texas Tech at Lubbock now. Would love to talk to you one of these days when I am in San Antonio. I keep up with some of the Trustee Scholars. There is an USC alum who is a faculty member in the College of Business at UTSA that you should meet.
When I think math, I think Rolfe!

Wow, I didn’t know you were in Texas. That’s a big change for a 4th generation Angeleno. We pass through Lubbock sometimes, so perhaps we could talk there too.
Right now it looks like we’ll be leaving Texas in the fall so I can finally get that Ph.D.
I’ll send you email.
