I also like using an inquiry based module for instruction. I now enjoy blogging with my students concerning their progress in the course and how to analyze objectives. critical thinking akills must be taught along with the cognitive academic language

We are working on a mortgage with RMC Vanguard presently. On the front end our experience mirrors yours--exceptionally quick to respond through lending tree. However, they came in another 1/4 point below the best offer we saw on lending tree; our contact was available on Saturday for handling faxed documentation. I will definitely stay wary as with any financial transaction, but so far things are looking pretty good.

I completely agree. My educational experience was that a bunch of numbers was thrown at me and no explanation was ever given about how and who used these numbers in real life or how it related to me. To this day, I'm not sure who uses Algebra, Trigonometry, or Calculus. History would have turned me on to know about the theorems, to perhaps learn about math used by astrophysicists, aeronautic engineers, etc. Math in music, math in art, math and computers.

Mathematics has to be more than just memorizing formulas and doing endless drills. This is too abstract. I think if a child's passion can be aroused by connecting the math to the people who use the math and the history behind it, math could be fascinating. They may even want to do it! I would have!

It has been a while since I thought about this but I can get sucked back in quickly. I'll send you email.

Hi Harry, We're already shopping for season passes so I think more skiing is in our future. As for the posts, I guess you'll get to hear my harangues in person now.

Hopefully the house will sell soon and we can come hang out.
